Oldschool Servers

Oldschool servers are among the most classic forms of a Metin2 Pserver or Metin2 P Server, and try to recreate the classic gameplay from 2006 as faithfully as possible. Middleschool Servers

Middleschool, and the mix of Middleschool and Newschool concepts, sit right between Hardcore and Casual. A typical Metin2 Pserver in this category offers moderate gameplay, often with a focus on PvM and PvE, combined with new features such as dungeons, simple PvP items and weekly updates. This kind of Metin2 Server or Metin2 Privat Server provides a good balance between progression and challenge. Many servers use modern systems based on Metin2 Root, extensions in Python and similar languages, and benefit from publicly released serverfiles. Especially in the area of Metin2 Privat and Metin2 Privatserver, these concepts are very popular because they appeal to both new and experienced players.

Newschool Servers

Newschool stands for modern Metin2 Pserver projects with fast progression, high server speed and experience values and heavily customized content. Many of these servers belong to the largest Metin2 toplist and present themselves as the new Metin2 generation. Here you will find features such as free to play, but often also optional P2W or pay-to-win systems. In return you get plenty of content: new maps, new systems, heavily adjusted gameplay and large communities — sometimes up to 5,000 players. Many well-known projects like Shiva or Elveron live in this scene and rank among the best German communities.

PvP Servers

A Metin2 PvP server is the fastest variant of a private server, or P-Server for short. Here you get equipment right from the start, reach max level quickly and can fight immediately. These servers are especially popular with players who want action straight away. The focus is on guild wars, rankings and competitive play. Many of these projects advertise as the best Metin2 P Server or even as the best Metin2 PvP servers, since they put a lot of effort into balance and performance. A good Metin2 Pserver of this kind needs an active player base, a working anti-cheat system and stable technology.

Which type fits you?

The choice depends heavily on what you are looking for. In today's server scene there are countless Metin2 servers, ranging from classic to modern. There you will find both small projects and the largest Metin2 communities. If you are unsure, take a look at the ratings — often the toplist algorithm decides which projects are visible.
