What is a Metin2 newschool server?
Newschool servers run current content and high rates. High level cap, fast levelling, modern systems and usually the operator's own additions - new maps, custom bosses, reworked classes.
The appeal is the quick start: you reach the actual content in hours instead of weeks. The flip side is that gear is replaced faster and the item shop tends to matter more.
Rule of thumb for the shop question: if a server sells finished sets or upgrades, it is pay-to-win, no matter how it is marketed. If it sells costumes, pets and convenience, it is funding. Both are legitimate - just know which one you are signing up for.
