What is a Metin2 middleschool server?
Middleschool deliberately sits between the two extremes. The level cap is higher than oldschool, rates are moderate, and some of the later content is in - but not all of it. Progress is noticeable without making gear meaningless.
This is the usual compromise for players with an hour or two in the evening. You achieve something visible within a week, and a good item is still an event. That is why middleschool servers often keep their players longer than high-rate projects.
The term is not protected though: what one server calls middleschool ranges from near-oldschool to near-newschool. Look at the actual rates and level cap, not just the label.
